Kampunu School is in a rural farming area south of Monze. reached by a unpaved road which is in a very poor condition, as was the old school which consisted of 2 dilapidated thatched classrooms. With the encouragement of The Department of Education and the whole community got involved from making bricks and crushing stones to carrying water. This was the second school time we built a 3 new classroom block. We then refurbished 2 teachers house funded by Bridgend Quakers, and had solar panels put on the school roof to run laptops .The large school garden is flourishing thanks to the solar pump we installed in 2019 which has also meant that have been able to teach sanitation and hygiene
